Jeff’s new franchise represents our third franchise location in the state of Minnesota and we’re all so excited to share in the journey with Jeff. He’s already proven to have the basic instincts to become an amazing business owner by crafting a true vision for his business. With the support and training of the Two Maids & A Mop corporate office, we believe that Jeff’s two daughters will have every opportunity to enjoy their Dad’s fruits of hard work and labor.

Two Maids & A Mop Featured in Wall Street Journal

The Wall Street Journal recently published an article that discussed the early positive signs of a strong economy for the US economy in 2019. As part of the research for the article, the editors of the WSJ reached out to Two Maids & A Mop to learn more about the demand of the residential cleaning industry and its impact on our franchisees’ pool of labor. As the article indicates, the economy still appears to be very strong and demand for consumer services such as home cleaning is growing at exponential rates. This strong demand is great for the economy because it produces more and more jobs across our franchise network. Our CEO – Ron Holt – was interviewed for the Wall Street Journal article and discussed our brand’s attempt to offer attractive job opportunities to a shrinking talent pool

Ron Holt, CEO of Birmingham, AL based Two Maids & A Mop, said his company may be forgoing millions of dollars in revenue because its franchisees can’t hire enough workers to clean homes. The 500-employee franchise network would add another 50 workers across several dozen locations if it could, Mr. Holt said. With those additional employees, “we’d be able to answer every phone call and respond to every email and not say the word ‘no,’” Mr. Holt said. “That’s the word we never want to say in our business.” To attract workers, many of the company’s franchisees have added health insurance benefits, he said.

Two Maids & A Mop offers an unique selling proposition called the Pay for Performance Plan and also executes an innovative lead generation marketing strategy that focuses entirely on digital advertising channels. The success of our business model across the country can be attributed to our hungry franchisees, our successful lead generation strategy and our unique way of delivering value to a consumer. We’re literally growing so fast that many of our franchisees have to slow their growth in order to handle the volume of new business. It’s a great time to be in the residential cleaning industry!

Interview With A Franchisee: Nico Moreyra of Virginia

Nico Moreyra Garcia is set to open a Two Maids & A Mop franchise in Manassas, VA. The office will represent our third location in the Washington, DC area. Nico has a great story to share and we believe his experience working in a blue collar industry will provide him with the necessary tools to build an amazing business in Manassas. He’ll be on the front lines during the early days, operating as an owner-operator so that he can better understand the industry market. In the video Nico talks about his background, his reasons for joining the Two Maids family and his experience thus far as a franchisee.

How Two Maids & A Mop Gives Back

The nationwide growth for the Two Maids & A Mop brand typically receives a lot of recognition. Our growth has been spectacular and many within the franchising industry have taken notice as a result. But among all the fast growth stories and national awards, there lies a hidden virtue of our brand that should receive just as much recognition.

Dan Brosseau, our franchisee in Naperville, was recently profiled by a Chicago-area TV station and his commitment to the Cleaning for a Reason foundation was spotlighted. Our network of franchisees are proud to be members of this wonderful charitable organization and we prove it everyday across the country by providing free cleaning services to women undergoing cancer treatment. We’ve provided thousands of free cleanings over the past decade totaling more than $500,000 in value. The service is available to women undergoing cancer treatments within any of our participating franchise locations. To apply for the free house cleaning, visit Cleaning For A Reason now.

2018 Annual Franchisee Conference

MaidCon 2018 on Bourbon Street in New Orleans

Another amazing MaidCon is on the books!

MaidCon 2018 occurred during the weekend of June 15-17th down in New Orleans. The conference was a tremendous success with 98% of our franchisees attending the fun-filled event. The special event brings franchisees together for a full weekend of networking, education and entertainment. Speakers for this year’s conference talked about everything from improving the customer experience to upgrading the talent level inside a franchisee’s office. We enjoyed multiple panel discussions with franchisees from across our growing network and the roundtables again represented one of the most lively events of the weekend. The social life was active with the event being held in New Orleans and the highlight was a private-escort with a band down the lively avenues of Bourbon Street.

“I was overwhelmed by the sense of hunger and ambition inside the conference this year,” said Ron Holt, CEO & Founder of Two Maids & A Mop. “The energy level was at an all-time high and I’m already looking forward to next year’s conference with our franchisees. Two Maids & A Mop is a true family and the hustle of our franchisees is never more evident than we’re all together talking shop. I love them and believe they are the real reason for the brand’s tremendous success.”

This year’s award winners include Lee Sheridan of Virginia Beach (Breakthrough Office of the Year), Mari Mallard of Rockville, MD (Fastest Growing Office of the Year), and Jim Torcivia of Nashville (Most Talked About Office of the Year). The biggest award of the evening is always the induction of two new members of the Pink Blazer Club. The award is given to the two franchises with the highest bottom line profit margin. Representing the 0-2 year franchises was Anthony Truong of Orlando & representing the 2+ year-old franchises was Elizabeth Lamar of Huntsville. The annual awards are always fun, but the bottom line is that these franchisees are growing their business at an extremely healthy rate due to their drive, determination and quest for success.

MaidCon brings national vendors, business experts, franchisees and our home office staff together for a fun-filled weekend of events designed to help propel every franchisee’s business for the net twelve months. It may sound like just another business conference, but it’s so much more for the people attending the show. It’s a family reunion that produces life-long memories for everyone in the Two Maids family. Go Two Maids!

Another nationwide article featuring the Two Maids & A Mop brand!!

“Take a cue from Two Maids & A Mop founder Ron Holt: Six months after starting that cleaning business, he introduced a pay-for-performance plan that determines compensation according to how customers rate employees’ service, on a 1-to-10 scale. Customers loved the idea, and employees were motivated to boost their rankings. Holt added 175 employees, and his sales skyrocketed.”

The Pay for Performance Plan indeed saved Two Maids & A Mop. It created an instant selling tool that was extremely unique in our industry. And even better, it created an ownership mentality that was in dire need during those early years. That was a long time ago but the truth is the plan still serves both purposes. The compensation plan continues to be a true purple cow in a very crowded marketplace. Two Maids & A Mop is just as different as a silly purple cow and the biggest difference maker continues to be our unique Pay for Performance compensation plan. Thanks to Entrepreneur Magazine for the plug!!

Radio Interview With Tampa Franchisee

Jaime Kulaga Radio InterviewJaime Kulaga and her business partners launched their own independent cleaning business several years ago. After two years of poor performance, Jaime reached out to Two Maids & A Mop for help.

“When I met Ron, I knew franchising was something I would consider,” says Kulaga. “Always before, I resisted the idea — because my cleaning business was my cleaning business. It was small and it was a struggle, but it was mine.”

After talking to Holt, however, Kulaga had a change of heart. Impressed by Holt’s passion and knowledge, she said ‘yes’ to the franchise. “I’m taking the systems and policies — but Two Maids Tampa is still my business. And it’s better for my family, better for my stress level, and better for my clients.”

Revenues for Jaime’s businessexploded almost overnight. “We were doing maybe $1000 a week when we merged, and then we started seeing $2000 and $3000 weeks. Which was great. But then the marketing formula started working, and suddenly we were doing four, five, six thousand. We’re less than 90 days into the transition, and this month we’re projected for $20,000. I never anticipated so much growth so quickly.”

Jaime’s experience has been phenomenal and people are starting to pay attention. Last week, Jaime participated in a podcast interview regarding her franchise experience. If you’re struggling with the decision to franchise or not, make sure to check out this 30 minute interview with Jaime. It’ll change your life just as quickly as Jaime’s life changed in December 2013.
