One of the first things new Two Maids franchisees learn about our brand is that we support you at all phases of the franchise journey. From the moment you sign your franchise agreement and become part of our system, we’ve got your back. Our 13-step franchise onboarding process gets you ready to open your Two Maids franchise with confidence!
Let’s take a closer look at the new franchisee onboarding process at Two Maids.
There’s a lot that goes into opening a new franchise, and it’s natural if you’re worried about keeping up. Our 90-day opening timeline may seem fast, but it’s broken down into manageable pieces that make it feel less overwhelming. If at any point you feel overloaded with information or think you’ve forgotten something, just raise your hand – we’re happy to help. Your dedicated field representative and other members of our home office team will be by your side at every step of the process, providing tips, tricks, and advice for a smooth opening.
Here’s where it all begins! During your kick-off call, you’ll receive a rundown of what you can expect over the next 90 days as you start a cleaning business. We’ll also schedule your in-person training at Two Maids University in Birmingham, AL and your grand opening training. You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions.
Before you can begin the work of setting up your business, you need to be in compliance with all state and federal requirements. As part of this step, you’ll establish a business bank account, get an employer identification number (EIN) from the IRS, and register a DBA name for your business. Not all states have the same requirements for businesses, especially cleaning businesses in particular, so be sure to research. Check with your city or county as well.
Although some cleaning businesses can be home-based, we do ask that you have a brick-and-mortar office. We provide site selection assistance as needed.
Two Maids uses proprietary software to keep our businesses running. Once you’re in your office, we will help you set up your work computers and train you on our software. This will include our point of sale (POS) system, customer relationship management (CRM) system, scheduling software, and other proprietary platforms.
Next, you’ll need to set up your business accounts. This includes business insurance and bonds to keep your team safe, utility payments with local providers, and any other financial accounts you didn’t set up during the licensing and registration process.
Before you get started assembling your team, we’ll get your office up and ready to go. During this time, we’ll help you make sure you have everything you need to open, from office furniture to cleaning equipment.
One integral step toward setting your business up for success is performing a thorough competitive analysis. We’ll help you take a closer look at your competitors, including their pricing, website, reviews, sales and quote processes, and more. You’ll use this information to better understand their strengths and weaknesses, which will help you identify the best opportunities to differentiate yourself.
An outstanding team will make your Two Maids franchise stand out from other local cleaning businesses. We’ll provide hiring guidance and assistance through the recruiting process. We know what makes a great Two Maids house cleaner, and we’re happy to help you find them.
Our robust franchise training program teaches you everything you need to know about Two Maids’ operations, brand identity, and standards, as well as best practices for running a business. The first step of your training is a classroom module. Through a mix of self-guided e-learning and virtual sessions with trainers, you’ll learn all about:
We will also provide you with an operations manual that includes step-by-step instructions for all of our cleaning tasks. Once your classroom training is completed, we’ll move on to the real fun: hands-on training.
Next, we’ll get you ready to open your Two Maids location. During your hands-on training, you’ll learn about the day-to-day operations of your franchise and how to keep the business running smoothly. Your hands-on training will include:
We’ll also help you set business goals to power your growth.
The number one thing you need to develop and grow your customer base is a great marketing plan. Our marketing team will help you create a custom marketing playbook tailored to the needs of your business.
