Glass shower doors are nice and pretty when they are shiny clean…but how do you keep them looking that way?
Two Maids Area Rep and former Professional House Cleaner (PHC), Anna Caricari, has a few tips to get these stubborn surfaces to shine.
“First I spray the glass shower door with a disinfectant and let it sit for a few minutes. Then wipe it down with a Magic Eraser. Rinse the surface with water and dry with a microfiber cloth”.
Caricari, continues, “If that doesn’t do the trick, spray the surface with a 50/50 vinegar and water solution. Then follow the same next two steps.”
Other home owners love the result they get from using lemon and baking soda. Just make a thick paste with baking soda and fresh lemon juice. Then rub this paste over your shower door, rinse with water and dry with cloth.
Caricari notes the best way to keep hard-water deposits from building up on shower doors is to invest in a shower squeegee. “I have a squeegee hanging in my shower and I wipe down the doors after each time I shower. It helps to keep the build-up down and makes it so much easier to clean later on.”
